Supreme Court on Student Loan Plan: The U.S. Supreme Court effectively killed President Biden’s $400 billion plan to cancel or reduce federal student loan debts for millions of Americans. The 6-3 decision said the Biden administration overstepped its authority. Read the opinion here.
Supreme Court on LGBTQ & Business Rights: In another 6-3 decision, the U.S. Supreme Court sided with a web designer who said she had a First Amendment right to refuse to provide services for same-sex marriages, despite a state law that forbids discrimination against gay people.
