Student Debt Relief: A federal judge said an Obama-era rule must immediately go into effect, even though the current Education Secretary had put it on hold. The rule offers federal loan forgiveness to students who were cheated out of an education by for-profit colleges that misled them and shut down.

Cost of College: The real cost of college has apparently stayed flat or even gone down in recent years. Even when the "sticker" price seems higher, reports say colleges are offering more grants and scholarships because there are fewer student applicants and more competition.

Job Openings Record: The newest Labor Department numbers show a record number of job openings in August. It was the first time the number topped 7 million and is the highest on record.

Uber's Valuation: Uber's valuation is now double what it was just two months ago. A couple of banks valued the company at $120 billion. Uber is getting ready for an IPO early next year.
Lyft's Subscriptions: It's official now. The Lyft All-Access monthly subscription plan is now available to everyone in the U.S. It's $299/month and offers up to thirty $15 rides a month. Be warned: unused rides do not roll over.

Social Media Errors: Two social media errors you may have run into yesterday: 1) Twitter accidentally sent out notifications with a bunch of numbers and letters that made no sense. Turns out: it was a bug in the code butnota security issue. 2) YouTube was down for about 90 minutes but says the issue is now fixed. No word yet what caused the failure.
