Guest: Daryl Fairweather

Daryl Fairweather is the chief economist of Redfin. Her insights have been featured on 60 Minutes, CBS Evening News, as well as in the New York Times and Washington Post. Prior to joining Redfin she was a senior economist at Amazon working on problems related to employee engagement and managing a team of analysts. During the housing crisis, Daryl worked as a researcher at the Boston Fed studying why homeowners entered foreclosure. Daryl received her Bachelor's of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and received her Ph.D. and Master's degrees in economics at the University of Chicago where she specialized in behavioral economics. Guest: Andy Winkler

Andy Winkler is the managing director of housing and infrastructure policy at the Bipartisan Policy Center. He helps lead the policy initiatives and staff of the J. Ronald Terwilliger Center for Housing Policy. He also manages BPC’s Disaster Response Reform Task Force, a bipartisan group of emergency management and disaster recovery experts launched in 2020.

Winkler joined BPC in 2015 to staff its Executive Council on Infrastructure and Senior Health and Housing Task Force. He previously assisted Michael Stegman, formerly President Obama’s top housing adviser, on housing finance reform and directed BPC’s Housing Council, a bipartisan group of more than 20 housing experts and leaders that helped BPC craft consensus-driven housing policy recommendations.

Before joining BPC, Winkler was director of housing finance policy at the American Action Forum, where he also worked as a policy analyst on housing and economic issues.
