Super Bowl LIII:  The biggest TV event of the year made NFL history as the lowest-scoring Super Bowl with a final score of 13-3. The New England Patriots won over the Los Angeles Rams, earning their sixth Super Bowl title. Patriots’ wide receiver Julian Edelman was recognized as the MVP. The halftime show was met with mixed reactions. Maroon 5, Travis Scott and Big Boi performed. Here's a clip. Trump Before the Game:  Before the big game, President Trump spoke to CBS News about several issues. He said he has not ruled out shutting down the government again. Trump also said military intervention in Venezuela is “an option.” Trump talked football, too, saying that while he likes to watch, he probably would not let his 12-year old son play because of the risks of brain injuries. Expect more from the president in tomorrow's State of the Union address.

The U.S. has accused Russia of violating the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty for years. After the Trump administration announced it would suspend the treaty and called on Russia to comply, Russia suspended it as well. The U.S. says Russia has six months to destroy its nuclear missiles or the U.S. will permanently end the treaty.

Northam apologized for appearing in a controversial racist yearbook photo from 1984, but a day later claimed not to be on that page of the yearbook at all. Northam later admitted to painting his face black as part of a costume for a dance in the 1980s.

U.S. Economy:  Good news for the economy: the U.S.  added 304,000 jobs last month. It’s the 100th month in a row of job gains, more than double the previous record. The unemployment rate went up to four percent, however, which probably had something to do with the number of furloughed government workers last month during the shutdown.

Foxconn Flip 2.0: Foxconn is moving forward with its plan to build a TV manufacturing plant in Wisconsin after all. Remember: the company made the promise in 2017, then said just last week that it was reconsidering. Now, it cites a chat with President Trump for the latest change. Foxconn expects to get $4 billion in tax credits over 15 years and says it could bring 13,000 new jobs to the area.

Groundhog Day:  Groundhog Day was on Saturday. Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow, which means spring is coming early. But keep in mind, stats show he’s only right about 40% of the time. The holiday inspired the 1993 movie Groundhog Day, where Bill Murray plays Phil Connors, who repeats the same day over and over. Now there’s a sequel of sorts coming out: a virtual reality video game that puts players into the life of Phil Connors Jr.
